Perfume of the Month

The Ridiculously Creamy Unisex Fragrance You Need To Buy

The One” and only

This unisex fragrance is so addicting, I had to make it this month’s Perfume of the Month! It’s a scent I wear all-year round and always get SO many compliments on. And no one suspects that I’m wearing a “male” cologne because it’s truly so unisex. Without further ado, this month’s Perfume of the Month is… Dolce & Gabbana’s “The One Intense” For Men.

Shoutout to my boyfriend Mark (aka my cologne connoisseur) for recommending this to me. I would go over his house and spray it on myself and fell in love, eventually buying my own bottle.

The Note Breakdown

This cologne is described as a leather fragrance. Top notes are Cardamom, Neroli and Cypress; middle notes are Cashmeran, Benzoin, Neroli and Clary Sage; base notes are Leather, Neroli, Labdanum and Patchouli.

What Makes This Fragrance Unisex

This fragrance is technically a male cologne, with some typically male notes like Leather. However, what makes this fragrance unisex is the blend of those typical spicy/woody/leather notes, with notes likeBenzoin and Cashmeran which are sweeter, cleaner notes.

My Impression

This cologne is seductive and SO CREAMY. My first instinct would not be to call it a leather scent. It’s a cozy scent, not overwhelming or spicy, as well as super sexy, warm and rich. It’s definitely a night fragrance for me.

This is the type of unisex fragrance that a woman would notice on a man immediately and ask what they’re wearing. It’s also one that projects confidence and attracts attention from a woman wearing it because it’s not the typical girly perfume. I personally receive a ton of compliments on it whenever I wear this fragrance.

Final Thoughts

The bottle is super alluring. I love how it stands out against my other perfumes due to it’s solid black body and simple design. Women’s fragrances typically come in light colored packaging, or some type of girly colors so I love the contrast of this sleek black bottle on my dresser. And the gold writing adds a touch of elegance without trying too hard.

This fragrance quickly became one of my go-to daily fragrances. I love that it’s not floral or super sweet smelling, but rather creamy and dries down beautifully into a scent that’s not overwhelmingly masculine.
