Channel the Luck of The Irish With These Super Easy St. Patrick’s Day Cocktails

If you’re tired of beer, this article is for you.

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and you know what that means. Tons of drinking, partying, corned beef, and soda bread. Although the holiday originated to celebrate the badass St. Patrick, a.k.a. the Patron Saint of Ireland, it’s now mainly a secular holiday here in the U.S. where us non-Irish people wear green and let loose.

And as we all know, the Irish are very well known for their beer. So expect the Guinness to be flowing at any St. Patrick’s Day celebration you attend. However, if you’re like me and can’t stomach beer, I got just the thing for you.

So put your green drinking pants on, because here are the easiest green cocktails you can make for your St. Patrick’s Day party this year:

Tipsy Luck of the Irish

With it’s bright green coloring and Jameson base, this drink screams St. Patrick’s Day. All you need is 6 ingredients:

  • Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • Peach Schnapps
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Sprite or Lime Seltzer
  • Green food coloring
  • Ice Cubes

I absolutely love Sweet Peas Kitchen’s recipe because they mention all kinds of alternatives to the ingredients, toppings, and even show you how you can turn this drink into a mocktail. Check out the full recipe here!

Green Irish Whiskey Sangria

Now you know I love a good sangria (ex. my absolute favorite apple cider sangria recipe that I make all the time). So when I saw this recipe I knew I had to include it to the list. And nothing says spring is near like a fruity white sangria. Here’s what you need to make it:

The original recipe actually calls for a couple different things that I didn’t include, like lime juice and sugar. I personally would skip the lime juice overall and substituted the sugar for peach schnapps to give it a more balanced taste without going overboard on the sweetness.

The Fuzzy Leprachaun

This is the first recipe on the list that doesn’t include whiskey, so all you vodka lovers rejoice! This recipe is super fruity and refreshing. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Peach Schnapps
  • Blue Curaçao
  • Vodka
  • Orange Juice
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Orange and Cherry for garnish

Bonus points if you serve this in a hurricane glass! Check out the full recipe here.

A Green Screwdriver

This is by far the easiest recipe on the list. A classic screwdriver is made with just two ingredients: orange juice and vodka. This recipe includes blue curaçao which makes the festive green color.

The Leprechaun Mimosa

Start St. Patty’s Day morning off right with this leprechaun mimosa! I actually mentioned this exact recipe in my Holiday Cocktail article, but it was featured there as “The Grinch Mimosa”. Either way, this is another super easy cocktail. Like the Green Screwdriver, this drink is made with blue curaçao and orange juice which creates the green color, but instead of vodka this recipe calls for champagne, prosecco or any other kind of sparkling wine (I recommend Ruffino Prosecco Extra Dry).

Irish Margarita

The gold sugar rim is GENIUS. I absolutely cannot wait to try this recipe. It includes a couple more ingredients than the other recipes in this list, but it’s still super easy to make. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Reposado tequila
  • Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • Blue Curaçao
  • Peach Schnapps
  • Aperol
  • Pineapple juice
  • Lime juice
  • Shaved ice – you can just run the ice through your blender
  • Lime
  • For garnish: corn starch and gold sugar crystals.

The Green Dublin Cocktail

This one is a bit deceiving. Although it’s bright green with apple slices, one of the main flavors is actually cranberry! Here’s what you’ll need:

  •  Jameson Irish Whiskey
  •  White Cranberry juice
  •  Sour Apple Schnapps

That’s it! Super easy and for garnish you’ll just need some green apple slices or mint. Check out the original recipe here!

Lucky Leprechaun Rum Punch

I saved my absolute favorite for last. Anything with rum has my name on it. But what makes this drink so special is the Lucky Charms rim! So creative and festive, here’s what you’ll need:

  • Kool-Aid Lemon-Lime Flavor Unsweetened Drink Mix
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Sprite
  • White Rum
  • Sliced lemons and limes
  • Lucky Charms
