(Wine of the Week: 8/11/2021)
I’m a sucker for all types of white wine. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, you name it.
So that’s why this week’s wine of the week is…Apothic’s White “Winemaker’s Blend”. As the name suggests, it’s a blend of different types of white wine in one. So if you’re indecisive like me, this is your new savior.
The Flavor Breakdown
This is a medium-bodied wine. The chardonnay provides notes of pear and vanilla, the pinot gris provides notes of peach and apricot, the riesling provides pineapple and tropical notes and the muscat canelli provides sweetness.
This wine is crisp, refreshing, not overly sweet or acidic. I always have a bottle stocked in my fridge. And how can I resist? It’s under $10.
Pick Up a Bottle Today
This wine is my go-to when I don’t want to try something new, or know I’m about to sit at home watching a movie marathon and don’t want to spend a ton of money on a bottle of wine that’ll be gone in an hour.
This wine has also become a family favorite. My dad is a big Chardonnay drinker and absolutely loves this wine. Alright, so you know how I said I always have a bottle of this in my fridge? I lied. I always have TWO bottles of this in my fridge because my dad and I are obsessed and drink this stuff too quickly.
