The Guilt-Free, Eco-Friendly Wine You Need To Try

Feeling Fancy-Shmancy For Under $25 (9/30/2021)

This week’s Wine of the Week is super dry, crisp and your new go-to Italian white wine. And that is… Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio.

The Company

The Santa Margherita company is known for combining traditional Italian practices with newer sustainable practices. They are vegan friendly, eco-friendly, and energy efficient. All of their processes keep not only the quality of the wine in mind, but also the preservation of the environment. Read more about that here.

The Notes

This wine is a super dry, well-balanced white wine that has a taste of golden apples. The flavor is super light and the wine is overall crisp. It’s no wonder this wine has a cult-following of wine lovers who claim this as their trusty go-to Pinot Grigio. This wine is overall consistently good and there are tons of reviewers who claim to have enjoyed this wine for decades without it losing its amazing quality (seriously. Some reviewers say they’ve been loyal to this wine since the 80s).

Finishing Notes

The label and bottle design is super upscale and makes for the perfect gift. The wine itself is one of my favorite white wines ever and a safe bet if you’re not in the mood to try something new that you might not enjoy. And because of it’s light flavor it pairs well with all types of food. The apple notes make this a great wine in all seasons, but I particularly enjoy it in the Fall and Summer. We love an affordable, tasty, and eco-friendly wine!
